Telekom Refill

The credit pays the tariff price, which Telekom takes from the prepaid account every 28 days on MagentaMobil Prepaid S to XL, or once a year on the Jahrestarif. MagentaMobil Prepaid S costs 4,95 € for four weeks and MagentaMobil Prepaid M costs 9,95 €, while the Prepaid Jahrestarif is 99,95 € for a whole year.

Telekom prepaid credit is valid for 15 months after each top-up, and the clock starts on the day of the last top-up.

Enter *100# on your phone and press the call key, and your balance is shown straight away. You can also call the short code 2000, which Telekom says is free, send an empty SMS to 2000, or look in the MeinMagenta app.

You can still call and surf, but the allowances included in your tariff stop applying and calls and texts to German networks are charged at 9 cents each. Topping up enough to cover the tariff price switches the allowances back on, charged pro rata for the rest of the cycle.

You buy the top-up on Bitrefill and pay with crypto, or with a credit or debit card from Visa, Mastercard, American Express or another card issuer. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported as well. These non-crypto methods are only available in specific regions, and phone refills are not one of the categories Bitrefill excludes from them.

Call Telekom's mobile customer service on 0800 3302202, or dial 2202 from a mobile. Telekom labels this line Kundenservice Mobilfunk with no prepaid qualifier and publishes no opening hours for it.
